It’s quite common that writers & cameramen step toward direction, but a very rare feature is stepping into direction atmosphere from musician role. Mr. R.P. Patnayak, sensational music director is now in the director’s chairman Mr. R.P. Patnayak’S FIRST FILM “ANDAMIANA MANASULO” will be releasing on Valentines day i.e., 14th Feb’08. Mr. R.P. Patnayak’s intellectuality in answering to questions shows the inherited talent as director too!
Q: How do you feel about your direction?
I came to this field to become director... it’s my only wish also. But, I became music director. Very often I imagine how will be it if I pictarize the song which I composed. This intense thirst... responsibility made me to direct this film... I am so happy!
Q: Why are the people belonging to different sections of film industry getting interest in direction?
Everybody tries to rise up... grow up to higher cadres. For example a cashier thinks, it’s better to become manager, a marketing executive thinks to become MD, so it’s quite natural in film industry, every technician thinks of direction (or) director’s position.
Q: How you had succeeded in exploring love at heart?
Love at heart is invisible to naked eyes... only to another heart filled with love. So, everyone will experience a very good unforgettable whole hearted feeling after seeing this film.
Q: What about people who have not this feeling?
I cannot consider those as humans at all... as love at heart is the key essence of everyone’s life. Without it....?
Q: What about Teja’s influence on you as you had worked with Teja?
Unlike in Teja’s movies, my movie is based on the concept “defeat those who dislike love by love only”. So, getting success in love is through loving but not by other means.
Q: Two heroines appearing... shall we think this too as triangular love story?
No not at all. An unexpected.... un imaginable aspect has been showed in the film, one may think, it is a well known, but so far, nobody brought this onto silver screen. Moreover, this movie is a beautiful love story blended with all types of chemistry.
Q: Generally, our people show friendship at first... later love?
Yes, probably you may be correct. But I touched the sharp junction between these two feelings.
Q: Direction is now for you, acting is also new for hero & heroine. Don’t you feel it as an experiment?
For my story, I need brand new faces who have no brand images. First of all I must be thankful to producer S. V Babu for dare in producing this film, NO doubt, what I believed never failed.
Q: Do you want to sideline your music if you become busy as director?
No, it’s not at all difficult for me to do music as music in my habit, but direction is my goal (or) target. I have confidence, I do justice to both.
Q: Your next film as director!?
Mr. S.V. Babu wants to start another film. But, I need some more time. I have to think about this whether, to do second movie on same banner / other.
